Community Project Funding Requests
Congressman Mark Takano has submitted the following projects for Community Funding as a part of the FY 25 Appropriations process.
Project 1:

Project Name: Santa Ana River Basin-Riverside Levees Rehabilitation

Project Description: To address flood damages that threatened the integrity of the levees and flood protection for the communities of Riverside and Jurupa Valley located along the Riverside Levees.
Amount Requested: $20,000,000

Project Description: To build out brackish water transmission pipelines project to remove more than 50,000 tons of salt in groundwater basins.

Project Description: To complete landscape and hardscape around an 8.8-acre project site and to provide infrastructure, road improvements facilities, restrooms, parking, and signage.

Project Name: Riverside Unified School District - Family and Community Center

Project Description: Provide for the architectural, engineering, and construction costs associated with the renovation of an existing building to be repurposed as a community center.

Project Name: City of Perris Fire Truck

Project Description: Funding will be used to purchase a tiller fire truck for the city’s fire department.

Project Name: Charging Station Infrastructure
Recipient: City of Moreno Valley

Project Description: This funding will be used to develop electric vehicle charging stations at city facilities in Moreno Valley.

Subcommittee: Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies
Project Name: Riverside Real Time Information Center
Recipient: City of Riverside

Project Description: Funding will increase the efficiency of first responders through the deployment of CCTV cameras, data analytics, computers, and other associated hardware.
