Rep. Mark Takano Set to Tour Local Transportation Sites

Washington DC – On Tuesday, September 3, Rep. Mark Takano will tour local transportation sites with Riverside Transit Agency Executive Director Larry Rubio, and Riverside County Transportation Commission Executive Director Anne Mayer.

The tour will begin at 12:00pm at the Riverside Transit Agency Headquarters where Rep. Takano will view the facilities and new buses.

The tour will then continue throughout Riverside Country, ending at the Hunter Park Station Site in Perris where Rep. Takano and guests will be joined by Metrolink CEO Michael DePallo.

“Riverside County is home to some of the worst traffic congestion in the world,” said Takano. “With a mixture of local, state, and federal initiatives, we can improve the commuter experience in our region and reduce the time spent in gridlock. I’m pleased to work with the RCTC and the RTA on our transportation infrastructure and look forward to viewing some of the exciting projects around our neighborhoods.”

Rep. Takano, Mr. Rubio, and Ms. Mayer will also be accompanied by Riverside Transit Agency Director of Marketing Jim Kneepkens, Riverside Transit Agency Government Affairs Officer Eric Ustation, and Riverside County Transportation Commission Government Relations Officer Aaron Hake.
