Rep. Takano’s Statement on Trump Immunity Ruling

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rep. Mark Takano (CA-39) released the following statement on today’s U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Trump v. United States: 

“Today’s ruling from an activist, conservative majority on the U.S. Supreme Court shakes our system of government to its core. Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s dissent lays out the terrible effect of today’s decision in plain terms: ‘It makes a mockery of the principle, foundational to our Constitution and system of Government, that no man is above the law.’”
