President-Elect Trump: No Help for Veterans in the First 100 Days

Washington, D.C. – Today, Acting Ranking Member Mark Takano issued the following statement in a response to a video released by President-elect Donald Trump outlining his priorities for the first 100 days of his administration.

“Throughout his campaign, President-elect Donald Trump promised to make veterans a top priority in his administration. Two months before he even takes office, it appears he is already breaking that promise. Donald Trump’s list of priorities for his first 100 days in office makes no mention of improving the care and support we provide to America’s veterans.

“Too often, candidates use the veterans community to score points with voters, then forget about veterans once in office. I implore Donald Trump to get off Twitter and start holding meetings with the many respected Veterans Service Organizations that are eager to help this country strengthen our support for those who serve.”
