CDC Interagency Telebriefing for Hill Staff on 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV)
Congressional offices received a telebriefing from the CDC, HHS Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of State on the coronavirus. Offices were notified of the domestic and international measures of preparedness.

CDC Interagency Telebriefing for Hill Staff on 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV)
The White House Task Force on Coronavirus held call today to provide a number of updates from CDC, HHS, and DHS. A situational update was provided on the total number of persons globally affected by the coronavirus, as well as steps being taken to best ensure the safety of international travelers. The Deputy Secretary for Homeland Security Ken Cuccinelli discussed measures being taken at 11 domestic airports, which will used to funnel passengers traveling from China through heightened screening processes.

Tents erected on March Air Reserve Base for Backup Planning
Workers erected three large tents on the tarmac at March Air Reserve Base in preparation of any planes that could not land at their primary or secondary destinations this week. These tents would only be used for medical screening for passengers if their planes were diverted. Because of the time involved in constructing the tents, officials decided to have them in place in case any planes were unexpectedly diverted to March.

No new countries reported cases of 2019-nCoV in the past 24 hours. WHO has developed a dashboard for Novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) with the number of confirmed cases globally, which includes cases in China by provinces, regions and cities, as well as confirmed cases outside China by country.
