Rep. Mark Takano Statement on the Death of Lance Cpl. Sean Neal

Riverside, CA - Rep. Mark Takano (D-Riverside) released the following statement after learning that Riverside resident Marine Lance Cpl. Sean P. Neal died in Iraq while serving in Operation Inherent Resolve:

 

“I’m deeply saddened to learn about the death of Lance Cpl. Sean Neal in Iraq. Lance Cpl. Neal’s dedication to serving our country is admirable and I know that all Inland Empire residents will join me in honoring his memory. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.”

 

Marine Lance Cpl. Sean P. Neal, 19, was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force - Crisis Response - Central Command and was based at Camp Pendleton. 

 

He is the second U.S. service member to be killed while serving in Operation Inherent Resolve.
