Rep. Mark Takano Votes In Favor of Extending Tax Provisions
Earlier today, Rep. Mark Takano released the following statement after voting in favor of extending tax provisions that benefit families and businesses:
“While I was proud to support today’s one-year tax extenders bill, as it will undoubtedly benefit millions of Americans and small businesses, we should be extending many of these provisions permanently. Tax provisions that are beneficial to families, the green energy sector, educators, companies looking to expand research and development, homeowners needing mortgage forgiveness debt relief, and many others help those pursuing their version of the American dream.
“As this legislation continues to make it through our process, I hope that Congress begins to work toward a long-term solution that will pay for these important provisions by closing loopholes for big oil and corporations stashing profits overseas. Doing so will benefit middle class and working families and give them the certainty they need and deserve.”
