Rep. Takano Issues Statement on Santa Monica Shooting

Washington DC – Earlier today, Rep. Mark Takano (D-Riverside) issued the following statement regarding the recent shooting in Santa Monica:

 

“The mass shooting last week in Santa Monica was a senseless, deplorable act of violence. As the investigation continues and the authorities search for answers, let us keep the victims and their families in our thoughts and prayers.

 

“Sadly, these types of mass shootings are occurring more frequently. I urge my colleagues in Congress to take up responsible legislation that will address this issue, so that Americans can live their lives safely, without the fear of gun violence.”
